Boys Volleyball wins 7th straightFriday, April 29, 2016
MASUK — The Newington boys volleyball team earned its necessary eighth win to qualify for the state tournament with a clean 3-0 win at Masuk Thursday afternoon. All three games were contested with the Indians winning the final two games by two apiece. The first game, a 25-21 score turned out to be the easiest of the bunch. As has been the case all season, seniors Dante Phillip and Blake Mamaclay came up big for Newington. Phillip recorded 23 kills and four blocks, while Mamaclay registered 37 assists and six digs.
