Boys VB sweeps Conard

Newington 3, Conard 0: The defending Class M champs kept rolling to start the season, earning a 3-0 sweep of Conard on the road, though every set ended within four points or less (25-23, 25-21, 25-22).

Leonel Caceres set the table for the Indians by recording 23 assists and nine digs, while Luis Egbuna led the team with 10 kills.

Egbna also added eight digs, while Teddy Fravel and Mason Romano finished with seven and five kills, respectively. Romano also recorded two blocks to help Newington to a 3-0 start on the young season.
